Fun Floral Pants

Floral pants are hot this spring/summer, but you may be wondering if it is a trend you can pull off.  Of course it is. I prefer the fitted, (not too tight) full length or cropped version in a darker color.

A few tips:

Keep it simple on top.
If you have a curvy bottom half wear a darker color and use sparkling earrings to draw attention up (it's all about balance).
Those of you with narrow hips, you can pull off a lighter color.
Wear neutral colored heals to elongate your legs.

Spring 2012 Trend: How to wear the Peplum

Giles
Jason Wu
I love the peplum, it is so versatile- it can look sweet, sultry, or modern. Are you questioning the wear-ability of the peplum? Don't worry, you don't have to be a supermodel to pull it off.
  • Be sure your outfit has a defined waist so the peplum flares over your hips to give the illusion of an hourglass figure.
  • If wearing a jacket or blouse with a peplum, wear fitted pants or a pencil skirt.  It will balance out the volume.
  • Depending on the length of the peplum and how fit your butt and thighs are, you can wear a peplum with leggings. If your butt and thighs are worthy, wear a peplum that covers just the top section of your bottom.  If you need a little gym time, wear a peplum that covers your entire bottom and balance it out with a pair of boots.
  • For a more casual look, wear a loose peplum blouse with fitted, high-waisted shorts or pair with bright colored jeans/leather pants.
